When possible, announcements concerning school cancellation will be made at www.lccdayschool.com, by calling 727-522-8331, and on WFLA 970 (radio). Local  television stations will also be notified.

If you live in a flood area and we are experiencing significant winds and/or heavy rain, you should make a personal decision regarding bringing your child to school. It is not  necessary to call the school. Send a note the next day to inform the teacher of your  decision and your child will be excused.

If school is not closed and you make the decision to evacuate, your child will be excused.

If weather conditions are unpredictable or develop while your child is at school, please stay in touch with the TV/radio stations/school website, in case we must close early. In such circumstances, we will begin calling parents. Again, should you be concerned about getting to your home later in the day, you may pick up your child early.

In the event of an early dismissal or school closing, after-school activities will be cancelled.

Finally, please know that if we ever have to close school early, your child will always be taken care of by teachers and staff until you are able to arrive.
